Launch of Information & Communications for Development 2009 Report

June 19, 2009—The World Bank Group invites the media to attend the launch of Information and Communications for Development 2009, a flagship publication addressing the critical role that information and communication technology (ICT) is playing in economic development.

It analyzes the benefits of extending access to ICT in the developing world and includes at-a-glance tables with the latest available data on sector structure and performance and country-performance measures of ICT capacities for 150 economies.
